While we love a good fountain, bottom aeration is one of the best ways to care for your lake or pond.  The primary goal of aeration is to increase and maintain stable levels of dissolved oxygen throughout the entire water column. This positively affects pond health by reducing phosphorus levels (which feed algae), expanding habitat and access for fish, limiting the time spores are exposed to sunlight, and reducing nutrients that promote weed growth.  Aeration leverages the pond’s natural processes to maintain balance, reducing the need for chemicals. Given the size of the lake, multiple aeration units would be necessary. Aeration greatly enhance the lake or pond's self-sustaining capabilities, leading to reduced chemical usage and fewer maintenance issues.
